DAILY LUNCH MENU
Departments | About UsThe Leland Mercantile offers our customers a variety of flavors and influences from around our beautiful and bountiful peninsula that is Leelanau. Whether it is a favorite bottle of Pinot Grigio you desire, local produce, or maybe your everyday grocery or butcher needs, the Merc has just what you are in search of. From our many local products, specialty products, or your everyday six-pack of suds, the Merc offers as many products as a supermarket with an "everybody knows your name", small town kind of feel. Visiting from out of town, we might not know your name yet, but we are more than willing to show you around the store and assist you in any way we can.The Leland Mercantile celebrated our 100th anniversary in February of 2006. Throughout those 100 years, the Merc has evolved from a small convenience and hardware store, into a local market offering both local and specialty products, and a little bit of everything else while we are at it. If you are in the Leland area and don't know where to go for something you need, whether it is for your dinner, house or boat, there is a good chance you can find it at the Merc. We are a family run and independently owned grocery store. We try to carry a little bit of everything, and if we don't have it, kindly ask and we will do what we can to locate what you are looking for. Every month and every year, we are always introducing more organic, natural, and local products, and are motivated to elevate the quality of our products and service. We take pride in promoting healthy, nutritional, and quality products, and because of the magnificent farmers and entrepreneurs within Leelanau County and the surrounding area, our job is made that much easier. The Leland Mercantile is located directly in the center of the bustling tourist destination, Leland, Michigan. Perched up above the curb on the main intersection of the village and along the north bank of the Leland (Carp) River, The Leland Mercantile is a grocery and specialty store open all year round. Leland, Michigan is a small but busy, and sometimes congested town, during the warm summer months. Although the area is still beautiful throughout the rest of the changing seasons, the winter months prove to be very dawdling and desolate. Many of the town's population retreats to warmer climates for the snowy season, but it is the privilege of the Merc to remain open for the brave souls who stay behind and tough out the cold. The Leland Mercantile is open everyday, all year round with the exception of Christmas Day and Easter. We are also closed for Thanksgiving, but do open that morning from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., just in case you forgot something for that turkey dinner or maybe a 6-pack for the football game. The Mercantile resides just above one of Leelanau's largest tourism attraction, Fishtown. Fishtown is located near the mouth of the Leland (Carp) River inside the Leland Township Harbor. Fishtown consists of a string of old-fashioned fishing shanties, smokehouses, and ice houses. The old buildings now have been modified into seasonal shops drawing many of Leelanau's tourists every year. You can learn more about Fishtown here. History of the Merc Previous Page :: Home Page |
