The Leelanau Peninsula is blessed with extremely favorable growing conditions for wine grapes. The peninsula has an abundance of vineyards and tasting rooms scattered across the entire region. Many of these vineyards boast spectacular views of both Lake Michigan and Lake Leelanau. Combined with the hills and valleys of Leelanau County and the close proximity of lakes, a perfect climate exists to grow fruit. Over the last few years, Leelanau's wine industry has been increasing and so have their awards and acclaim. It is our pleasure to put forward wines from all of our local vineyards. Our selection of local wines is always changing, but it is our goal to have available wines from each and every one of our local vintners. If you cannot locate a particular local wine, please let us know and we will do what we are able to get it in stock for you.

We not only offer local Leelanau wines, but also wines from the Grand Traverse and Old Mission area as well. Many of these local wines have also been earning various awards and recognition.

The Wine Cellar offers many domestic wines and several international wines from all over the world. Our international wines come from various countries such as Italy, France, Argentina, Australia, South Africa, and many more.

The Merc also keeps in stock an array of sparkling wines and champagnes, and both non-alcoholic wines and sparkling juice.
